The aroma of zongzi leaves fills the air, and the Dragon Boat Festival evokes deep emotions. This traditional festival, which carries wishes for good health and happiness, has always been a beautiful bond connecting people and spreading warmth in Singapore, a city where diverse cultures coexist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On June 19th at noon, the Singapore Chung Yuan Association volunteer team, led by Mr. Fan Ziping, visited the Stroke Assistance Center to carry out the \"Fragrance of Zongzi Spreads Affection, Love Fills the Dragon Boat Festival\" charity event. Ms. Zhang Huini, Director of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage and Chairperson of the Stroke Assistance Center, as the center's director, warmly awaited and carefully received everyone, participating in the event alongside them to deliver festive blessings and sincere care to each recipient, allowing warmth to be quietly conveyed through companionship and interaction. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A token of heartfelt sentiment, a touch of care. To ensure everyone truly felt the festive atmosphere of the Dragon Boat Festival, the volunteers meticulously prepared in advance, providing each attendee with a thoughtful gift and Dragon Boat Festival rice dumplings. These gifts also reflected the generous support of the Zhongyuan Association members: Fang Fang, a director of the Zhongyuan Association, sponsored Jinmailang noodles; Guo Kaimin, a director, sponsored rice crackers; and Hou Jian, vice president, sponsored gift bags. From selecting the gifts to sorting and packaging, every step was carefully considered, all to ensure the most sincere blessings were contained within the gift bags. On the day of the event, the volunteers arrived early and worked collaboratively to set up the venue: arranging chairs, organizing gifts, and adjusting the sound system. Everyone cooperated seamlessly and efficiently, striving to welcome every guest with thoughtful arrangements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event kicked off in a warm and enthusiastic atmosphere. Mr. Qiu Shengyang, a well-known anchor from Channel 98.5, served as the host of the event. He introduced himself in a friendly and humorous manner, and his relaxed and lively opening quickly closed the distance between the audience and made everyone look forward to the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following this, Ms. Zhang Huini, Chairperson of the Stroke Assistance Centre, delivered a speech. She welcomed and thanked the Singapore Chung Yuan Christian Association volunteer team for their arrival and extended her best wishes for a peaceful and healthy Dragon Boat Festival. She noted that the significance of the festival lies not only in the continuation of traditional customs but also in the care and companionship between people. The Singapore Chung Yuan Christian Association's sincere approach to the community and their practical actions in caring for those in need are truly touching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Wang Jiancheng, advisor to the Chung Yuan Volunteer Association, then delivered a speech. He stated that charity work is not a simple visit, but a long-term responsibility and commitment. The Chung Yuan Volunteer Association always hopes to give back to society through practical actions, gather more loving forces, and deliver care to more people in need. His simple and sincere words added even more warmth to the atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the event, Guo Shujie, Vice President of the Singapore Chung Yuan Association, presented a souvenir to Ms. Zhang Huini, Chairperson of the Stroke Assistance Centre, on behalf of the association, to express respect and support for the centre's long-term service to the community and its care for stroke victims and their families. Following this, Ms. Zhang Huini, on behalf of the Stroke Assistance Centre, presented certificates of appreciation to Tang Min and Zheng Jianfeng, thanking them for their enthusiastic dedication and sincere contributions to public welfare activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This mutual gratitude is not just a ceremony, but a response of goodwill. It witnesses the encounters on the road of public service and unites everyone to continue walking together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was filled with warmth and friendliness. Mr. Fan Ziping, Ms. Zhang Huini, and volunteers from the Zhongyuan Association came to everyone's side, gently inquiring about their health and daily lives, patiently listening to everyone's daily routines, chatting like family, and their kind words made the atmosphere at the event exceptionally warm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To bring more joy to everyone during the festival, the event also included cultural performances and a lucky draw. Fang Fang, a director of the Zhongyuan Association, performed the classic song \"A Thousand Songs.\" As the familiar melody played, many attendees softly sang along, and the gentle singing transported everyone to a warm and nostalgic atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Mr. Qiu Shengyang's natural and fluent introduction, the lucky draw began in a lively atmosphere. Guo Lijun, Honorary Vice President and Deputy Secretary-General of the Volunteer Association of Central China, drew the fifth prize, with 5 lucky friends receiving red envelopes; Hou Jian, Honorary Vice President and Director of the Volunteer Association of Central China, drew the fourth prize, with 4 lucky friends receiving red envelopes; Duan Shuaijun, Honorary Vice President of the Volunteer Association of Central China, drew the third prize, with 3 lucky friends receiving red envelopes; volunteer Tang Min drew the second prize, with 2 lucky friends receiving red envelopes; and Ms. Zhang Huini, Director of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage and Chairperson of the Stroke Assistance Center, drew the first prize, with 1 lucky friend receiving a red envelope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As each lucky name was read out, applause and laughter filled the air. The small red envelopes carried festive blessings, allowing everyone to feel the warmth of being remembered and cared for in a relaxed and joyful atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Afterwards, the volunteers handed out the prepared gift bags and Dragon Boat Festival rice dumplings to everyone. The gift bags contained Jinmailang noodles, rice crackers, and carefully prepared festive wishes; they were gifts given, conveying care and concern. Every greeting, every smile, every handshake added a real touch of warmth to this Dragon Boat Festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the event drew to a close, everyone enjoyed a festive lunch together. Sitting around the table, they chatted and laughed, their conversation filled with joy. A simple lunch became especially warm because of the companionship; an ordinary gathering became all the more precious because of the sincerity it embodied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the exchange, Ms. Zhang Huini remarked that the Singapore Chung Yuan Association's passionate dedication to public welfare and its proactive approach to caring for those in need within the community is truly commendable. For the Singapore Chung Yuan Christian Association, giving back to the community and spreading care is a responsibility that comes from the bottom of our hearts. Everyone felt that the zongzi (sticky rice dumplings) and gifts they handed out carried a sentiment of care; being able to take the time to be with everyone and bring smiles to their faces with a small token of appreciation made this Dragon Boat Festival particularly fulfilling and meaningful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Small rice dumplings, wrapped with deep affection; a warm gathering, converging into a moving force. Charity is never a short-lived act, but a long-term commitment and dedication. The Singapore Chung Yuan Association will always uphold this original aspiration, conveying goodwill through action and giving back to society with responsibility. Moving forward, we will continue to join hands with partners from all walks of life to bring more down-to-earth and heartwarming charitable activities, allowing care to reach further and warmth to be continuously passed on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
